Jim I loved this site! The pictures at the Marlin cruse in were taken where I grew up about 3 blocks away .We moved there in 1941 I was 6 years old. If you look at the picture on the Kenosha cruse go down the first column to the last picture on the left the building across the street was a movie show house called the Roosevelt my aunt owned it. The part that brought back old memories was the cars I worked at AMC from 1960 to 1967 most the time in final assembly dept 828 I was a utility man and a key man most of the time in the motor drop and the section that installed most of the parts under the car the marlins were a killer for the guys that had to get in the trunks and install the stock and tighten the shocks in the summer it would get in the 90s at times they did every other car and we were running a car every 47 secs.I did plenty of them I know! One of the guys that did the job always took off on his birthday and I had to do it the best part it was my birthday too. When you did a job every day you would get used to it but I would usually be on a different job from day to day and sometimes it was hard one great thing if every body came in I didn’t have to do anything but make sure the line kept running.
